Playground

Some of my favorite personal projects I've done over the years, with intent to explore certain styles, moods, and narratives.

Stylized Kitchen

This project was an exercise in recreating the stylized aesthetic often seen in Pixar films. My goal was to study their use of exaggerated proportions, clean and balanced forms, and warm, harmonious lighting to better understand how these elements work together to create inviting, emotionally engaging environments.

Comfy Cloud

This project served as an exploration of character modeling and rigging, allowing me to develop my understanding of multiple disciplines within the 3D pipeline. It helped refine both my technical workflow and my ability to create more versatile project deliverables.

Stylized Jason

Continuing my series of stylized miniature characters, I reimagined Jason from Friday the 13th in my own character style. This project was strongly focused on character animation, allowing me to explore the fundamentals of fluid movement while gaining a deeper understanding of how 3D rigging influences the range and realism of a character's motion. And yes, I am now aware that Jason does not run..

Planet Study

This cosmic study was an exploration of Maya's built-in 2D mapping tools to create procedural textures without relying on third-party software like Photoshop or Illustrator. My goal was to build the planet's surface and atmosphere entirely within the 3D workflow by layering procedural patterns and connecting them to different material properties, creating the illusion of depth, scale, and atmospheric variation.
